They sent a message recently expressing their thanks: Thank you and your organisation for taking part in our EU aid action. Our Twitter campaign was seen by tens of thousands of people and a resulting 1,000 emails were sent to TDs around the country. Development aid to the world’s poorest was protected at current levels, despite cuts to the overall EU budget for the first time in history. You helped ensure that the voice of European citizens was heard and that the 85% majority who support our aid commitments were listened to.
